This was a 15 Billion/3 month bridge loan thingy for Chrysler and GM. Seems the sticking point was the unions. UAW wouldn’t make concessions’¦this surprised no one. I guess I am just shocked that the Republicans held together long enough to have one last stand for the free market before we fall into utter national socialism.

Kudos to Ford for stepping away when they did’¦leadership is the key in hard times’¦and that company seems to have been moving in the right direction for a few years now (hey did you see TOP GEAR review of the new Fiesta?)

Funny stuff. Of course California will never see the ‘˜SUPER’™ green 70mpg diesel of the fiesta ( They are still figuring out how to close down those stinky expensive shipping ports..now there is something a bankrupt state needs to do…idiots)’¦but the car still looks fun when it comes out next year.

As far as GM , I still have a ‘˜let them fail’™ mentality’¦from the ashes will come the answers. That’s what free market is all about. If they take the bailout then the wacky federal regulations put forth by the democrats (more union power/unreachable green standards/free market over-regulation) become standards. No thanks. So bill is dead until next year’¦.let’s see who survives until then. I hear Saturn may be the first to go’¦pity’¦they have the highest green vehicle percentage.
Also’¦.can’t the Big Three sue Al Gore (Car BAD) and Bill Clinton (Redlining BAD) for starting this whole mess to begin with?
