Morgan has now been home for over a week!

Grandma Sandra came up on Sunday and stayed through Tuesday, just in time for the carpet to be installed on Tuesday. So Morgan and I went home with her on Tuesday and stayed down there through Sunday.

From 1pm Sunday until past 10 pm Sunday night Grandma Sandra just held Morgan, I think it is the most she has ever sat and done nothing in her whole life! J

Monday and Tuesday were very hectic clearing out the 3 rooms that were getting carpet, and the house is still in major disarray. I was hoping to make some progress on it today but Morgan did not want to be laid down, at all.

While we were down in San Diego, Auntie Dawn & Tarryn, Anne Pentland, Grandpa Charlie, Uncle Mike & Auntie Dia, Katie, Grandma Beverlee, Rick & Patty, and Sue Kriehbel all came to visit and love and hold Morgan. He ate up all the attention!

We also visited Uncle Wes, Cousin Delaena, Aunt Sandy, Gwen & Marisa, Uncle Bill Aunt Kelly, Liam, Isabel and Katie. And on the way home we stopped and visited with Auntie Laurie, Uncle Jeff, Cousin Cohri and Cousin Jaymes. So Morgan has now met all of his grand parents and most of his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Grandma Beverlee took all of the web postings to a new level and made a scrap book for Morgan that starts from the first ultrasound picture and ends with his homecoming. It’s an awesome keepsake of his birth and journey to coming home!

Tuesday was Morgan’s first Dr’s appointment. His weight was 6lbs 12ozs. Grandma Sandra measured him at home and he is 20 inches long. The Dr pronounced him a healthy baby boy. She will repeat the pneaumogram (sleep study) in 8 weeks to see if he still needs the monitor. He has had from 1 ‘“ 4 low heart rate spells a day since we came home. All are less than 10 seconds and most self resolve. He has had a couple of apnea spells (more than 20 seconds of not breathing) again self resolving.

This is our first week home alone beginning today and so far balancing working around the house, doing OFG work from home and taking care of him is a challenge that I have not yet mastered.

Most nights he wakes up for his 12 am, 3 am and 6 am feedings, takes the feedings and is back asleep in 30 minutes, but some nights he stays up from 12 am to 3 pm. For the first few nights Don took the early morning feedings and let me sleep in until 8:30 ‘“ Heaven! But when his work week started I old him that as much as I loved him doing the 6 am feeding, he needed to get his sleep, too!

Overall the transition home has been wonderful and somewhat smooth. We love every challenging minute of it all! But if anyone wants to come over during the day and hold Morgan while I get some work done, you are more than welcome to come!!
