Now is when the fun begins’¦even the slightest slip puts you in the bottom three’¦luckily ‘˜The American Songbook’™ is full if simple songs’¦not to fast’¦not to slow’¦the only obstacle is with purity of notes’¦..advantage McPheever.

How they finished in my book:

Katherine ‘“ By far the most comfortable, every note was spot on and pure’¦smiles were out of place but you could tell this was her night’¦.she easily could have picked any song from any of the albums and sung it by heart. She outclassed them all.

Taylor ‘“ He comes in a distance second not only for the firing up of the crowd at the end’¦but for the solid tonal quality of the notes at the beginning. He normally has an airy quality when he sings slow’¦but these were uncharacteristically strong’¦.Go Taylor.

Paris ‘“ Like Katherine, she is built for this song style…the only reason she faulted was her added runs that took away from the song instead of accenting them. Paris may not fit in current popular music’¦but oh man will she have a career.

Chris ‘“ The middle bunch is very, very tight. Nobody really dominated the group, and the only reason Chris is forth was because everyone else was more memorable’¦he was refreshingly soft and spot on.

Bottom Three:

Elliot ‘“ He has taken over for Chris as the one trick pony’¦singing good…pretty smooth but personality is that of a worker bee’¦not a performer’¦is it just me or are you expecting his eye to pop out on the high notes?

Ace ‘“ Doing a very good slicked back ‘˜Chili Palmer’™ impression Ace surprisingly didn’t suck that bad’¦probably one of his better outings’¦he doesn’t have the power to stay up with the others and his looks capital is getting close to empty.

Pickle ‘“ Poor pickle got lost early’¦she showed she can pull the needed notes to make it work…but the complex song (probably the only one in the songbook) ate her alive by the end’¦and she knew it’¦that fact alone should save her on Wednesday.

I would pick ACE to go tonight’¦but Pickle or Elliot wouldn’t surprise me at this point.

    Good call on Ace leaving…
I would like to see Pickle go this week.. she is a decent singer, good looking.. but the stupid stuff that comes out of her mouth.. damn! .. “I say, I say, she’s about as sharp as a pound of wet leather” (To quote Foghorn Leghorn)
Katherine didn’t sound bad at all.. found it interesting that Randy Jackson went so hard on her.. recalling the voice-of-Whitney-past.. (freakin’ crack whore)
Elliot did a pretty good job.. but he isn’t my favorite. (second choice to leave… if not this week.. next week)
