I have announcement to make…..I don’t support it.
It’s not the two bolts or two nuts slamming together, not the ‘œlove’ or the sanctity of marriage or the fact that it is historically unnatural…which by the way are all valid reasons..and your attempts at forcing “legislative normalcy’ will result in blow-back…and you think you are victims now?. My issue with gay marriage’¦my cost. And that factor controls the way I vote’¦and always has. The benefits that my taxes pay for’¦give something to me’¦directly or indirectly in the form of protection, transportation or education. What does the dollars I supply for these new sets of spouses’¦give me? (If the statement in you head has the word ‘˜Feel’ in it’¦keep it to yourself’¦because you are the reason for every economic crisis in the last 50 years..War on Poverty, CRA act of 1977, Stockton, Detroit, GM, Solyndra’¦etc’¦.etc.)
Our society thrives on renewal and drive and through the years or government has latched onto one of our institutions ‘œMarriage’ to help foster those two things. Now a good conservative or libertarian would say that was a mistake’¦and it was’¦but it happened so we have to deal with it. All of the items listed below are part of the benefits of marriage listed by the Federal government’¦and most if not all are adopted by the states’¦with a few wacky states even adding to the lists. All of them were designed for the optimum model of our society’¦Man/Woman/2 Children. Why?…Man to work / Women to procreate and nurture / Children to protect the cycle. Is this the case with all Americans or humans?’¦of course not’¦but the list of benefits below encourages those traits. Everybody else are single taxpayers with finite economic potential. Many of the lists below costs money’¦and as a taxpayer I am willing give said monies for the potential of exponential national economic growth for both me and my children.
1049 of the below provisions since the founding of the republic’¦since gay marriage has been popping up in certain states’¦another 90 or so have been added. So when you promise something to people it was never intended for..fed up people will demand removal of said benefit…from everyone’¦that will thus will end the encouragement.

Employment assistance and transitional services for spouses of members being separated from military service; continued commissary privileges
Per diem payment to spouse for federal civil service employees when relocating
Indian Health Service care for spouses of Native Americans (in some circumstances)
Sponsor husband/wife for immigration benefits
Larger benefits under some programs if married, including:
Veteran’s disability
Supplemental Security Income
Disability payments for federal employees
Medicaid
Property tax exemption for homes of totally disabled veterans
Income tax deductions, credits, rates exemption, and estimates
Wages of an employee working for one’s spouse are exempt from federal unemployment tax[3]
Joint and family-related rights:

Threats against spouses of various federal employees is a federal crime
Right to continue living on land purchased from spouse by National Park Service when easement granted to spouse

Domestic violence protection orders
Existing homestead lease continuation of rights
Regulation of condominium sales to owner-occupants exemption
Funeral and bereavement leave
Joint adoption and foster care
Joint tax filing
Insurance licenses, coverage, eligibility, and benefits organization of mutual benefits society
Legal status with stepchildren
Making spousal medical decisions
Spousal non-resident tuition deferential waiver
Permission to make funeral arrangements for a deceased spouse, including burial or cremation
